Hawthorn Logistics Solutions Ltd awarded ‘Authorised Economic Operator’ (AEO) by Irish Revenue Commissioners.
The Directors and management of Hawthorn Logistics Solutions Ltd are delighted to announce that they have succeeded in achieving full certification as an Authorised Economic Operator (AEO).
Hawthorn Logistics Solutions Ltd was founded by Martin Cunningham and Terry Allen in 2007. Since then they have grown their business year on year while maintaining and improving the highest standards of service to their clients. Their staff numbers have grown during this time and they opened their second office in Shannon in 2012.
With AEO, Hawthorn Logistics had to meet key standards in relation to security, management systems and compliance with customs rules.
AEO is a certified standard issued by customs administrations in the EU. It certifies that a business has met required standards in relation to their security, management systems and compliance with customs rules. With this certification, Hawthorn Logistics Solutions ltd is now officially recognised as a compliant operator within international trade.
Kealan Horan, Revenue Commissioners, Customs Audit Unit (Centre) presented the AEO certificate to Martin Cunningham, Managing Director and Paul Tibbles, Operations Manager, at their offices in Dublin earlier today.

AEO certification is also important for our customers as it provides the assurance that when using our services in Ireland they can be confident that the service they receive will be fast and reliable but also customs and revenue compliant. It is a fitting tribute to the dedication and hard work of our staff and in particular our operations manager that we have succeeded in realising one of our primary goals.
This accreditation gives further credence to our growing reputation and we look forward to further development while maintaining the high standards we have set for ourselves”.
